On my recent listening tour, I took a quick detour between talking to constituents about my campaign to visit a classic Illinois Deli in Moline – Arthur’s Garden Deli! 

My order? The #10 Veggie Cheese Sandwich – without the cheese. (I know it’s a little unusual!)

John, getting out on the campaign trail, meeting voters and listening to constituents (and eating some great food!) is always the best and most important part of my job. Our state is full of small businesses like Arthur’s that show the best of us — our diversity, our authenticity, and our hardworking people.

As your Senator, one of my biggest priorities will be to grow our economy and end the economic chaos that Trump is forcing small businesses to grapple with.

But MAGA Republicans in the Senate are all in on backing Trump’s extreme tariffs that are driving up prices for businesses AND consumers across the state. 

If we don’t take back the Senate, MAGA loyalists will continue to push devastating policies that make things harder for hardworking Americans and our great small businesses. So we have to do everything in our power to stop them – now.
