I won’t mince words — our democracy is under threat.
Donald Trump spent his first eight months in office making corrupt deals in Washington and overwhelming the American people with chaos, lies, and illegal action.
He’s been slashing Medicaid, destroying the economy, and fueling wars abroad — while handing out tax cuts to his billionaire friends and profiting off the presidency for himself. He wants us to believe that we’re powerless.
But that’s the biggest lie of all.
Every move Trump has made in office has been wildly unpopular, and he knows it.
That’s why he pushed Governor Abbott to redistrict Texas. He’s scared of losing seats in Congress in a fair election, so he’s rewriting the rulebook. It’s a blatant power grab and an anti-democratic attempt to rig the 2026 election cycle.
But history tells us that mass mobilization beats a would-be autocrat.
We have to fight back. And we will — but to mobilize, we need a strong infrastructure. We need organizers, technology, logistics, and support. It’s the DNC’s job to build that infrastructure and allocate resources to the states and candidates that need their support most.
