Friends,
A massive thanks to the thousands of J Streeters who signed our petitions and called their Members of Congress last week – we had a massive impact.
Over 100 Members of the House signed onto two J Street-backed letters: one demanding Secretary Rubio reverse his cruel suspension of visas for injured Gazan children in need of life-saving care, and another pressing for a surge of aid – including infant formula – into Gaza.
We can’t emphasize enough how significant these Congressional actions are. Over 100 Democrats in the House are insisting that the US work to solve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, rather than continuing to contribute to it.
We have to keep fighting for our values, being the voice of our community and making it clear that extremists like Laura Loomer and Itamar Ben-Gvir don’t represent Jewish pro-Israel Americans.
The United States has the capacity to end the horror in Gaza if we choose to act. We must keep up the pressure on our leaders to do so.
FALLBACK: Can you take the next step and call on Secretary Rubio to heed these two congressional letters and stop this cruel punishment of Gaza’s children?
SECRETARY RUBIO: STOP PUNISHING GAZA’S CHILDREN

With mothers too malnourished to breastfeed, parents are helplessly watching their babies waste away – tiny bodies starving before their eyes. According to the World Health Organization, 12,000 children under five in Gaza are now acutely malnourished.
And now, because of pressure from Laura Loomer and the far right, Secretary Rubio has halted visas that allowed wounded Gazan children to come to the US for urgent treatment. Kids who would otherwise be recovering in American hospitals are instead being left to suffer. Kids and families who have already been vetted by the Israeli government.
This is cruel and grotesque, and we cannot stay silent.
Tell Secretary Rubio to reverse this unconscionable decision, allow wounded children to receive life-saving medical care, and deliver the food and formula that Gaza’s families so desperately need. Friend – please add your name today »
Thank you, sincerely, for your support.
