Tell Donald Trump: No, we don’t want a dictator. We’re going to fight for free and fair elections in 2026, 2028, and beyond >>
John, Donald Trump has long wanted to be something more than a president:
- Having his White House post pictures of him as a king [1]
- Flirting with an unconstitutional third term in the White House [2]
- Using the full weight of his office to silence his critics – including deploying armed soldiers to cities like Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. [3]
And now, he’s claiming that “a lot of people are saying maybe we’d like a dictator…” [4] – making the outrageous argument that Americans actually want him to rule like one. I need your help to shut this down immediately.
Add your name now: America will never be a dictatorship. I pledge to do all I can to stop Trump’s authoritarian crackdown and defend free and fair elections in 2026.
Trump’s words are one thing – but look at his actions.
He’s sending armed federal agents to override D.C.’s police department, elected leadership, and voters. [5] He’s signing executive orders to criminalize First Amendment-protected acts of protest. [6] And he’s ordered state-level Republicans in places like Texas, Ohio, and Florida to draw voting maps that protect his party from voters’ backlash against their agenda. [7]
We’re not going to let him. History – alongside modern-day examples like Russia or El Salvador – shows us what’s at stake if we don’t push back with everything we’ve got right now.
Remember, Trump can only get his way if he convinces us we’re powerless – that he’s already won and there’s nothing we can do to stop him.
But the truth is, Trump’s unpopular agenda has already inspired historic levels of pro-democracy resistance – from the millions-strong “No Kings” protests, to local grassroots organizing in D.C., to people like you across the country putting pressure on Congress and state officials. [8]
And with your help, we’re going to carry that forward into next year’s midterms – where we’ll fight for every voter’s right to determine the future for ourselves, our families, and our country.
Add your name to REJECT Trump’s authoritarianism and pledge to do your part for free and fair elections in 2026, 2028, and beyond.
The American people have never wanted a dictator – and we never will.
Thanks for all you do,
The team at Common Cause
