AQE is marking a major milestone this year – 25 years of fighting for education justice – which we'll be celebrating at our Champions of Education gala on October 9, 2025 at the DCTV Firehouse in New York City. We hope you can join us!

What began more than than two decades ago with a bold legal challenge and grassroots organizing for fair school funding has grown into a powerful statewide movement. Today, with Foundation Aid at last fully funded, AQE has become New York’s leading statewide education advocacy organization.

AQE continues to evolve, building deeper community power and pushing an ever-bolder vision for the future rooted in racial justice, parent leadership, and putting all of our children first. That commitment has guided us from the beginning, and it's what propels us today into the future.
