SHE CAN ONLY WATCH, TERRIFIED, AS OTHERS ARE KILLED IN FRONT OF HER.

Your gift today will be doubled to help protect dogs and other animals from the
skins industry.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friend,

Meyli is terrified. The floor beneath her paws is slick with the blood of dozens of dogs killed
before her , their bodies hanging on hooks or soaking in vats of water. Surrounded by gore
and dismembered body parts, dogs can only watch, trembling in terror, as others
are killed right in front of them . It's a grisly scene that's all too familiar in a world still reeling from
investigative footage showing "wet markets"—where sick and frightened animals
are right now slated to be killed.

A worker will soon drag Meyli away from the holding cell and bash her over the head with a wooden club. Like many others, she may not die instantly—and may writhe and struggle to
breathe even after her throat is slit before her skin is peeled off.

Meyli is no different from the loyal, loving dogs who share many of our
homes—but rather than receiving affection, she'll be violently killed and her
skin will be turned into a belt or pair of gloves. Your gift of $3 or more will help prevent animals like her from enduring torment and pain—and
it'll be doubled through PETA's "Save Our Skin" Matching-Gift Challenge. We must reach our $250,000 goal by July 10, so please don't wait!

What animals like Meyli experience seems like something from a horror movie, and
for good reason. An employee at one facility told a PETA Asia field observer that just that single operation alone killed and skinned as many as 200 dogs
each day .

This cruelty isn't isolated to the leather trade: Dogs and cats sold at animal
markets alongside monkeys, civets, bats, chickens, and many other individuals
are also killed for their flesh or fur, and PETA's exposés have documented that
some animals' hearts may still beat even after their skin is torn from their
bodies .

No one should suffer for a pair of shoes, a wallet, or a bit of fur trim. Your donation of $3 or more right now will support our campaigns to stop cruelty and violence
in the skins industry—and every dollar will be doubled, pushing us closer to our
goal.

PETA's exposé of the Chinese dog-leather industry has opened the eyes of
millions to the cruelty of the global trade in animals' skin, even inspiring
some members of Congress to seek a ban on the importation of dog leather, and
that momentum is still growing. Thanks to kind people like you, our campaigns
have persuaded iconic brands like Coach, Burberry, and Versace to go fur-free,
and this year our campaigns led Awake Watches and the American Red Cross to drop
leather from their watch bands and gloves, respectively. Together, we're driving
down the demand for leather, wool, exotic skins, and all other cruelly obtained
materials so that no animal will be forced to suffer for someone's ridiculous
idea of "fashion."

Please donate to our "Save Our Skin" Matching-Gift Challenge right now and every penny of your contribution will double in impact, strengthening
PETA's groundbreaking work to stop the cruelty that animals face in the global
skins trade.

Thank you for your compassion.

Kind regards,

Ingrid E. Newkirk
President
