Today, on Women’s Equality Day, we honor the generations of women who fought tirelessly to secure our right to vote, our right to be heard, and our right to lead. Their courage laid the foundation for the progress we’ve made — but as we know, the work for true equality is far from over.
In Florida, women are still underrepresented at every level of government. Our reproductive freedom, economic security, and even our right to make decisions for ourselves are under constant attack. That’s why Ruth’s List Florida exists: to recruit, train, and elect Democratic pro-choice women who will stand up and fight for equality in every corner of our state.
We envision a Florida where women not only serve in statewide office, but where they hold the majority in our State Senate, State House, county commissions, and city councils. That vision can only become reality if we work together — and that work requires resources, organizing, and your support.
The struggle for equality lives on in every race we fight and every woman we help elect. Thank you for standing with us on this day of reflection and action.
In solidarity,
Ruth's List HQ
