John,

Hyper-intelligent octopuses trapped in barren, cramped tanks with no stimulation. They try to escape again and again, but there’s no way out. Just a slow, miserable death on a factory farm.

This cruel scene is quickly becoming reality as seafood giants race to open octopus farms to maximise their profits off one of Earth’s most intelligent and sensitive animals. But right now could be a turning point…if we move incredibly quickly.

New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina have all introduced bills to ban octopus farming – and now, at the federal level, the OCTO Act has been reintroduced in the US Congress.

The factory farm lobby is in an all out sprint to push lawmakers to quietly kill these bills behind closed doors. Which is why Ekō has a plan to build unstoppable momentum for the bans, in the US and around the world. We’re ready to go with ads, billboards, and polling to unleash massive, strategic public pressure to defend our natural world – but we can’t do it without your support.

Will you chip in now to fund our mega-campaign to ban octopus farming – and protect all animals from exploitation?

Millions of octopuses could soon be kept in tiny tanks, mutilated, and slaughtered in horrific ways.

This slate of state bills is proof that the public is NOT on board with this cruel treatment of these amazing creatures. But the factory farming lobby is incredibly powerful – and they’re banking on the public not paying attention.

Our first test will be in New Jersey, where lawmakers are gearing up for a key vote in just weeks. We only need a handful of swing votes to win – and with your urgent support we could:

  • Run a full-page ad in one of New Jersey’s biggest newspapers to shine a spotlight on this historic vote;
  • Deploy mobile billboards to surround a key committee during its next hearing to ensure lawmakers can’t ignore public outrage;
  • Run targeted polling and digital ads aimed at exactly the right decision-makers and districts;
  • Install billboards outside the homes of swing-vote senators who are still on the fence.

If we win, it would send a shockwave through the industry and build unstoppable momentum behind a national ban, setting a powerful precedent worldwide. But we don’t have much time.

Together we could launch a hard-hitting campaign in New Jersey and across the United States that lawmakers cannot ignore – but it will take thousands of us chipping in just a little bit. Can you help fuel this mega-push to stop octopus farming and save all our most precious, brilliant creatures?

Thanks for all that you do,
