TELL CONGRESS: First, the Trump administration illegally sent Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a dangerous El Salvador prison. Now, the WH is trying to defy constitutional due process rights to send him to Uganda. Garcia’s lawyers are quickly moving to stop Trump’s cruel deportation. Sign the petition: Release Kilmar Abrego Garcia and end illegal deportations!

In March, the Trump administration illegally sent Kilmar Abrego Garcia and hundreds of other people to the notorious, extremely dangerous CECOT prison in El Salvador.1 Now, Trump plans to send him to Uganda, denying Kilmar’s constitutional rights to due process and sending him to a country where the U.S. cannot guarantee his safety.2

Trump is deporting immigrants to other countries that are plagued with violence, like South Sudan, where they have no established ties (also known as third-party countries).3 From El Salvador and South Sudan to Angola, Uzbekistan, and at least 16 other countries, ICE is creating a global network of American-sponsored detention centers in countries often notorious for violence and human rights violations.4

The White House has made Kilmar an example of this administration’s vindictiveness, cruelty, and open law-breaking. Trump will continue to defy federal laws and terrorize people without due process until Congress puts an end to these illegal deportations.

Sign the petition: Stop Trump’s illegal, dangerous deportations to third-party countries and renditions to foreign prisons!

ICE has been continuing to traffic detainees to CECOT, the infamous Salvadoran torture prison where it’s been said “the only way out is in a coffin.”5

After releasing Kilmar from federal pre-trial detention ICE once again took Kilmar away from his family and community. "There was no need for them to take him into ICE detention," his lawyer said. "The only reason that they've chosen to take him into detention is to punish him. To punish him for exercising his constitutional rights."6

The Constitution is clear: Everyone is entitled to due process in a court of law, and even those convicted of crimes must not endure cruel and unusual punishment. Congress must put an end to these horrific, illegal foreign deportations and renditions.

Sign the petition: Block Trump’s campaign of law-breaking cruelty and punishment — release Kilmar, end foreign deportations, and stop illegal renditions.

Thanks for taking action,
