Today, Dr. Kelly Forbes officially announced his campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma.

Born in Skiatook, Kelly grew up across the street from his grandparents’ cattle feed store. Kelly’s life has been shaped by service, his parents and grandparents served in the Army. Raised by his grandparents, their dedication helped Kelly become the first in his family to graduate college. He went on to earn two master’s degrees and a doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Kelly has spent his career serving Oklahoma as a classroom teacher, dual language director, and federal program director. Today, he is an adjunct university professor and owns a small business that helps schools and communities navigate education systems and government bureaucracy.

Through his work across Oklahoma, Kelly sees firsthand the challenges Oklahomans face daily: Oklahoma has fallen to 50th in education, our neighbors are struggling to access quality healthcare, and families are falling further behind with the rising cost of living. Kelly believes Oklahomans deserve a government that works as hard as they do.
