Team,
Everywhere I go in PA-04, I hear the same concern: everyday life is too expensive.
Groceries, gas, rent, health care — all costs are rising. And Donald Trump’s chaotic tariffs and Republican budget cuts are making it worse. Here are some sobering stats:
- Trump’s tariffs are adding more than $2,000 a year to the average family’s bills.
- His reckless trade wars are harming retirement accounts — one retiree recently told me he lost thousands in savings overnight.
- Republicans passed their Big Ugly Bill, cutting hundreds of billions of dollars in funding for Medicaid, SNAP, and vital health programs to pay for tax breaks for their billionaire donors – all while driving up the deficit by 4 trillion dollars.
These are not normal times. Families are paying the price while only the wealthiest benefit.
But here’s what I know, friend. We don’t have to accept this. We can fight for policies that actually lower costs for working families. We can fight for affordable healthcare, fair trade, real protections for retirement savings, and food assistance for children.
Are you with me? Do you want to fight for PA families?
When we say “cost of living crisis,” we aren’t talking about an abstract idea. It’s your neighbor deciding between groceries and medicine, or your grandparents watching a lifetime of savings disappear in a week, or your favorite small business shutting down because they can’t afford the tariffs.
Meanwhile, the very people who promised to “make America affordable again” are piling new burdens on working families while protecting billionaires and corporations.
We can build a fairer system, but only if we work hard together. That’s why I need to know: are you in?
Add your name to let me know that you stand with me in fighting back against Trump’s chaos and the GOP’s cruel agenda.
Thank you for being here,
Mad
