One Nation’s member for Mirani, Stephen Andrew, has come out hard against the Queensland Labor Government’s Reef Bill.
Speaking on social media Stephen exclaimed, “To call a spade a spade, the Reef Bill's purpose is deeply flawed, and sadly there are two distinct sides very publicly going all out to discredit the other side, whilst the agricultural sector and by association the entire Queensland economy is on the verge of going out the back-door.”
“Behind the destructive arguments are the hundreds of millions having been spent; and vastly more proposed to sustain questionable white-collar welfare schemes that manifest into huge administrative overheads, badly targeted research and delivery of outcomes nowhere near the paddocks; which are arguably the start of the claimed problems.”
In an attempt to educate some of his more out of touch colleges in the Queensland State Parliament, Stephen held a presentation in Parliament house. It brought people with real-world agricultural experience to the city to present cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions.
You don’t see that very often in the Queensland parliament but thanks to Stephen, you have the opportunity to catch a replay of the forum via YouTube.
It is a great presentation and a handy thing to show people who don’t get why Labor’s Reef Bill won’t work.
