In the wealthiest country on Earth, it is unacceptable that thousands of veterans right here in Colorado are struggling to access the resources they need.
Just a few months after I took office in 2023, I wrote to the Department of Veterans Affairs urging the establishment of Fremont County’s first VA clinic. While this construction was eventually added to the VA’s budget plans, the project has since stalled, awaiting further approval.
Fremont County is home to nearly 5,000 eligible veterans in urgent need of care. But the Trump Administration isn’t giving them a second thought. Instead, they’re stalling this critical project and even shrinking the VA’s supply of doctors and nurses!
After putting everything on the line for their country, these brave men and women shouldn’t be forced to drive for hours on end just to access the care they need.
That’s why I just sent a new letter to the Rocky Mountain Veterans Integrated Service Network to approve Fremont County’s clinic without delay — and I’m asking you to stand with me.
Will you sign your name to my new petition urging the Trump Administration to approve Fremont County’s new VA clinic? We need to collect every signature we can to show Trump’s VA that their lack of concern for Colorado veterans is unacceptable. [[link removed]]
