Check out this old pic. What do you see?

Beneath that bowl cut, there’s a little kid who had no idea what life had in store for him. His world revolved around Legos and backyard adventures.
I grew up in a working-class family. I worked construction and at Arby’s — anything I could do to help. After high school, I joined the National Guard to help pay for college.
Then 9/11 happened. I felt called to serve, became a paratrooper, then an Army Ranger, and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. When I came home, I helped fellow veterans rebuild their lives and later ran for Congress to continue serving my community.

Because when Donald Trump first took office, I saw what was coming. He attacked health care, vilified immigrants, and tried to dismantle the democratic institutions I risked my life to defend. That’s what drove me to run in 2018 — and it’s why I’m still in this fight today.
Now, during Trump’s second term, the fight continues. His economic policies are driving up costs for working families. He’s sowing fear, targeting immigrant communities, workers, and civil servants. He’s firing truth-tellers and gutting critical federal agencies.
So once again, I’m not sitting this one out. I’m holding the line in Congress and working to elect new leaders who will help us flip the House and fight back against Trump’s extremism. But I can’t do it without you. Will you chip in today to support my work before Sunday’s end-of-month fundraising deadline?
