Trump Administration begins official review process for the Twin Metals copper mine on the edge of the Boundary Waters.

John,

This morning, the Trump Administration announced it is beginning the official environmental review process for the Twin Metals copper mine on the edge of the Boundary Waters. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has started the clock on this review even though a week ago the state of Minnesota declared the Twin Metals mine plan incomplete.

Will you rush a donation today to help stop the exploitation of these public lands for private gain?

This is a reckless push to build a toxic mine right next to the most popular Wilderness in America.

In its ongoing attack on public lands, the Trump Administration has already:

  •  Shredded the federal Clean Water Act,
  • Gutted the National Environmental Policy Act,
  • Arbitrarily reinstated expired mining leases,
  • Made a joke of the environmental review process and ignored citizens,
  • Cancelled critical studies,
  • and suppressed important science...

...all with the goal of handing over America's most popular Wilderness to be exploited for the benefit of Chilean mining giant, Antofagasta.

Save the Boundary Waters is working on every strategic front to prevent copper mining on the edge of the Boundary Waters. This approach already includes multiple lawsuits, a permanent protection bill in Congress, an intensive expert review of the Twin Metals Mine Plan of Operation to expose the dangers of the project, and much, much more.

You can help fight back against the Trump Administration's relentless attack on the Boundary Waters by rushing a critical donation today.

Thank you for everything you do to protect this wild and beautiful place.

National Campaign Chair
