We’re dropping in with some exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce our fifth slate of endorsed pro-choice champions running for local office in 2025!
2025 local elections are critical. At a time when reproductive rights are under attack nationwide, it’s the leadership at the local level that often shapes how policies are implemented and whose voices are heard. These candidates aren’t just running for office — they are standing up for bodily autonomy, inclusive communities, and the freedom to make personal healthcare decisions. It’s been an unusual year with so many special elections, and we are proud to endorse Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger for SD 47.
When women are represented at every level of government, from school board to state senate, we build a future where our values and our rights are protected. Women Winning is proud to endorse 10 more pro-choice champions running for office throughout Minnesota:
* Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger – State Senate, District 47 (Special Election)
* Diane Desotelle – Duluth City Council, 2nd District
* Terese Tomanek* – Duluth City Council, At-Large
* Rachel Hartland – Hopkins School Board, At-Large
* Sara Wilhelm Garbers – Hopkins School Board, At-Large
* Avonna Starck* – Fridley School Board, At-Large
* Sara Schreiner – Fridley School Board, At-Large
* Robin Cerio* – Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School Board, At-Large
* Prachi "PJ" Striker* – St. Anthony-New Brighton School Board, At-Large
* Kimberly Wilburn* – Minnetonka City Council, At-Large B
*Incumbent
Women Winning will continue to make additional endorsements in 2025 and organize across the state to ensure reproductive freedom is defended at every level of government. By electing pro-choice champions up and down the ballot, Minnesotans can be confident that their values are represented and their rights protected in every community.
In Solidarity,
Team Women Winning
