Dear Georgian,

I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with more constituents and businesses throughout our district this past week.

I was also in Columbus for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Congressional Luncheon. This is an event put on by the Georgia Chamber every year when business leaders across Georgia come together to hear directly from our state's congressional delegation. I was honored to have the opportunity to speak at this year's lunch and shared the stage with my former colleague and good friend, Drew Ferguson, and my colleague Rep. Mike Collins.

I was able to highlight the important work that we do on the House Rules Committee and discussed the process for passing the One Big, Beautiful Bill. The Georgia Chamber did a great job with this year's event, and I was happy to attend.

As always, my staff and I are here to help. If you need assistance with a federal agency or have comments or concerns to share with me, please do not hesitate to call my Warner Robins, Tifton, or Washington, D.C. offices. To receive frequent updates, I encourage you to visit my website, like my Facebook page, follow me on YouTube, and follow me on Twitter.

Keep reading for the full update.

Sincerely,

Touring Bright Farms

Last week, I was able to stop in for a visit with Bright Farms in Macon and take a tour of their new state-of-the-art green house.

Bright Farms is operating an automated hydroponic greenhouse where they are growing primarily lettuce and strawberries. This facility was very impressive and is an example of how far we have come in agricultural technological advancement. They are able to grow millions of pounds of lettuce each year and are doing their part to help feed our country with quality, nutritious food.

Visiting with YKK

I also got a chance to visit the YKK facility in Macon last week. YKK has been a staple of our district for over 30 years. They do important work crafting fasteners for our men and women in uniform.

It was a pleasure touring their facility and seeing the incredible product that is manufactured with over 250 employees. From zippers to clips to fabric adhesives, YKK is constantly developing new and improved ways to hold everything together. We are happy to have them in Georgia's Eighth District and excited to see what they continue to develop in the future.
