My job is all about keeping track of every cent that powers this campaign, and I'm responsible for making sure that we meet all our fundraising goals.

I know just how stretched a lot of folks' finances are right now, so I never take asking for your grassroots support lightly. But the truth is, campaigns are won and lost on the strength of their fundraising and the level of grassroots support they receive.

Our fundraising determines every step of this campaign, from the number of first district voters Suzan can connect with, to what ads we can run online and on the air to make sure supporters are energized and ready to cast their ballots.

If we fall short, our Republican opponents will know -- and they'll be able to use our numbers against us.

Right now, we're still $3,972 short of our goal to raise $20,000 in grassroots online donations for this quarter, and we can't risk running out of the resources we need going forward.
