They finally said the quiet part out loud. At a party event, the Ohio Republican Party chair told supporters that “confusing Ohioans was not such a bad strategy” when the redistricting amendment was on the ballot last November. These were his words, bragging that confusion meant they had done their job. That is not democracy.

I am Allison Russo, and I am running for Ohio Secretary of State because your vote should never depend on whether politicians can confuse you. The Secretary of State helps decide the ballot language voters read and serves on the Ballot Board. When that power is abused, the people lose their voice. I will fight for clear, honest, transparent language so Ohioans can make informed choices.
