I wish this email wasn’t necessary. But it is. The Republican trifecta in Washington that’s ripping away freedoms from millions of Americans isn’t done. Not by a long shot.

Democratic governors are standing strong as the last line of defense. We are rolling up our sleeves to say enough is enough, and we’re ready to fight. But team, it won't be easy, and it won’t happen overnight. It’s going to take everyone working together to push back.

So, I’m asking you directly: Will you chip in $3, $6, or whatever you can right now to fuel the Democratic Governors Association’s fight to elect Democratic governors this November, in 2026, and beyond? With 38 critical races on the line, we can’t afford to wait another minute.

Make no mistake, Trump’s “big beautiful bill” will hurt our states. Republicans in Congress are slashing Medicaid and SNAP benefits. They want to infringe on personal freedoms, dismantle our public education system, and cut back on dollars that are owed to our states – all while making working families foot the bill for their dangerous policies.

In times like these, I know it can feel like individual actions can’t make a difference, or that those running the show in DC are too powerful, too isolated for any single person to bring about change. But that’s just not true, team.

In order to stop these attacks at the state level, it’s critical we elect more Democratic governors across the country.

That’s why the DGA is urgently ramping up its grassroots operations and launching political strategies now that will help Democratic gubernatorial candidates win in states like New Jersey and Virginia this November and 36 other critical elections next year and more beyond.
