Donald Trump’s war on vote-by-mail is another attempt to march us towards authoritarianism and unfettered oligarchy.

He made that clear when his reasoning for removing vote-by-mail came down to, “because the Democrats want it.”

So since Trump can’t give you a real reason, here are the facts:

  • Vote-by-mail is popular because it’s safe, secure, and it works. It allows working people, seniors, our military, and more to easily take part in our democratic process.
     
  • In fact, Donald Trump himself has voted the past two presidential elections using vote-by-mail, and released a video just last fall encouraging its use among his supporters.

Here in California, mail-in ballots are the law of the land, and we’re not about to let a wannabe dictator strip our ability to make our voices heard.
