We know that many of you have tried to find time this summer to get away from the daily barrage of awful news from our orange mad-king-in-chief and the right-wing oligarchs propping him up.

As human beings, it's healthy to rest, recuperate, and find time to remind ourselves of the better world we wish to achieve and conceive of how to get there.

However, Common Dreams didn't take a break this summer, and — as always — our team has stayed on top of every key development so that you have the information you need, when you need it.

And we regret to inform you that Trump didn't take the summer off either.

In fact, Trump's authoritarian rampage is only getting worse, with masked ICE thugs invading American cities and Trump launching a full-frontal assault on the midterm elections.

Meanwhile, the corporate media remains utterly prostrate, sucking up to get access and cutting Trump multi-million dollar checks in hopes of appeasing him.
