John,
The Great New York State Fair <[link removed]> is officially here!
I had a chance to stop by the Fair this week – checking out this year’s butter sculpture, meeting with the next generation of New York farmers, and of course, sampling some New York products.

There’s something magical about the State Fair — the kind of magic that comes from shared experiences, big laughs, and the pride of seeing New York on full display. From agriculture exhibits and student showcases to innovative small businesses and world-class performers, the Fair is where every part of New York has a place to shine. It’s more than just a fun day. For me, this year’s visit was a whirlwind of joy, flavor, and New York spirit.
And as New York’s first mom governor, I’ve worked hard to make sure that the fair is one of the most affordable fairs in the nation and a place for families to make memories that will last a lifetime.

No screen can capture the taste of your favorite fair food or the thrill of a ride on a summer night. The fair is an invitation to step out, look up, and make lifelong memories with the people who matter most.
The Great New York State Fair runs through September 1. Get offline, get outside, and be part of something real, something joyful, and something unforgettable! <[link removed]>
Ever Upward,
Gov. Kathy Hochul
