John, this news comes as no surprise. MAGA Republicans have spent MONTHS attacking PBS and NPR:
Marjorie Taylor Greene had their CEO and president testify in front of her DOGE committee in Congress.
Donald Trump signed an Executive Order to defund NPR and PBS.
And now, Congressional Republicans have officially stripped essential public broadcasting services of more than HALF A BILLION DOLLARS a year in previously approved federal funding!
Now, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting – the largest single source of funding for public radio and television stations – is officially shutting their operations down, and local stations across the country will suffer.
But NPR and PBS aren’t giving up – they’re SUING the Trump administration over these attacks!
