Dear John,
I just got the results back on our latest public persuasion videos, and the results have been incredible.
Typically, when you test a set of videos or ads, you’re hoping to find one that might move public opinion on an issue by two or three points.
But our recent videos are moving Trump supporters by as much as SIXTEEN points.
And now the research firm we work with tells us that our latest videos are getting results that they’ve never seen before among one of the most challenging and important demographics in American politics right now: young men.
I’ll explain more below, but the key takeaway is that we need to get these videos in front of the widest possible audience across social media — and that will require a new influx of funding.
That’s why I’m writing to you today to ask: Will you make a monthly donation to help educate the public and get these videos out to as many people as possible?
In recent years, young men have been shifting further and further to the right in their political views, with many of them heavily influenced by a group of popular MAGA-aligned podcasters sometimes described as the “manosphere.”
You may not have even heard of some of these shows, but podcasters like Joe Rogan and Andrew Schulz have enormous audiences that dwarf the nightly broadcast news or CNN — and they’ve been extremely influential supporters of Donald Trump.
As a teacher, I’ve met a lot of young men and heard their concerns. They know the system is rigged, and many of them are attracted to Trump because he seems to be offering answers.
Our job is to expose Trump as the con man that he is and then show how a truly progressive populist economic agenda is what we need to un-rig an economy that currently only benefits the super-rich at the expense of young people just getting started.
That’s why I was so thrilled to learn that for the first time ever, we’re seeing significant movement on economic fairness issues among young male podcast listeners who see our videos.
Now we’re working overtime to push these videos out far and wide — and we’re counting on your donations to help us break through. Will you make a monthly donation to help Inequality Media educate the public and get these videos out to as many people as possible?
Thank you,
Robert Reich
