You couldn’t design a budget-reconciliation package that would be worse for the state of New Mexico than what Republicans just passed. Their reconciliation bill is a handout to corporate special interests and out-of-state billionaires — all at the expense of hardworking families here at home. Instead of lowering the costs of health care, protecting our public lands, and investing in clean energy jobs, the GOP pushed through a deal that shoves New Mexico backward. I’ve fought my entire career to make sure our communities aren’t treated as an afterthought.
