Brett Kavanaugh ruled against reproductive rights. Brett Kavanaugh is on the Supreme Court because of Susan Collins.

It is time to defeat Susan Collins.

When Susan Collins gave her infamous speech on the Senate floor justifying her decision to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, she vowed to Maine people that he would respect precedent on reproductive rights and posed no threat to a woman’s right to choose.

After consecutive votes against LGBTQ+ equality, the DREAM Act, and now reproductive rights it appears that Susan Collins was either naive or willfully negligent. Either is unacceptable.

While the Supreme Court as a whole did the right thing today and voted to uphold reproductive rights, another Justice like Kavanaugh could have tipped the scales against us. We could see another Supreme Court vacancy next term and control of the Senate will decide the fate of the Court.

We can't trust Susan Collins to be the deciding vote on a Supreme Court nominee ever again.
