Now he’s following Putin’s lead on how to run elections and trying to impose a federal takeover based on lies about the security of different voting methods:

Los Angeles Times: “President Trump said Monday he would renew his assault on mail-in voting after Russia’s autocratic leader, Vladimir Putin, told him to do so at their meeting in Alaska last week.”

Trump on TruthSocial: “I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS , and also, while we’re at it, Highly ‘Inaccurate,’ Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES…WE WILL BEGIN THIS EFFORT, WHICH WILL BE STRONGLY OPPOSED BY THE DEMOCRATS BECAUSE THEY CHEAT AT LEVELS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, by signing an EXECUTIVE ORDER to help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections.”

Trump’s latest attack on our freedom to vote isn’t an isolated incident, of course. It fits into a broader pattern of how the far-right tries to block Americans from electing our leaders and having a say in our future.

Here in Georgia, Republicans have been the tip of the spear for voter suppression, from attacking vote-by-mail to recently working to purge nearly half a million voters from the rolls.

And across the country, the MAGA GOP is hell-bent on silencing the will of the people.

They’re spreading lies to try to justify mass voter purges. They’re resorting to stealing congressional seats through gerrymandering. And they're trying to pass the so-called SAVE Act, which could block tens of millions of eligible Americans from voting.

It’s all part of a Republican plot to stay in power by rigging the 2026 elections. And it must be stopped.
