You aren't going to believe this, but the imprisoned sex trafficker and in-no-way-incredibly-compromised Ghislaine Maxwell spoke glowingly of Donald Trump during a highly unusual and exceedingly suspicious, one-on-one interview with Deputy Attorney General and MAGA sycophant Todd Blanche. She went out of her way to make Trump out to be nothing less than a perfect gentlemen and a man of upstanding character. Oh, she also made sure to mention that she always liked Donald and admired "his extraordinary achievement in becoming the president now." Well, then! Case closed. Who needs all those unreleased Epstein files when you can obviously rely on the word of a convicted felon who clearly had nothing to gain from playing ball and providing preposterous cover for a president engulfed in a pedophile sex trafficking scandal?! It's not like she was immediately transferred to a cushy, minimum security prison days after the interview. Wait? What's that? She was? Surely little more than a stunning coincidence!

The MAGA cult leader claimed on Friday that he asked Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan to give the United States of America a 10% stake in the company during a recent meeting at the White House — and that Tan...agreed. "He agreed, and they've agreed to do it, and I think it's a great deal for them," Trump told reporters. "He walked in wanting to keep his job, and he ended up giving us $10 billion for the United States." Neither Intel nor the White House press team immediately responded to requests for comment, but a couple quick thoughts. 1) This quite possibly could be and probably is complete and total bullshit, since complete and total bullshit is kinda Donald Trump's bag. 2) If — and that's a very big if — there is any truth to the president's claim then it represents a watershed moment and permament bend in the mythological arc of our ballyhooed and supposedly sacred "free market" economy. If one, deranged, wannabe dictator can strongarm a 10-fucking-percent stake away from a publicly traded company worth more than $100 BILLION (investors and shareholders be damned!), then we can all finally admit this entire racket is one big game, right? Also, how will the Republican Party and its army of dyed-in-the-wool free-market warriors spin President Trump NATIONALIZING a Fortune 500 company?!

Sentient hemorrhoid and rabid conspiracy theorist Alex Jones issued his latest histrionic warning, this time claiming that Donald Trump is rapidly declining and headed for an imminent health "collapse." Jones, who honestly can't be trusted to tally 2+2, shockingly managed to make a few salient points: "He’s 79. He’s been through nine years of hell. Look what four years does to other presidents. They age incredibly fast. And so he’s on a lot of the time, but like a light bulb that’s starting to go out, it gets brighter, it gets dim, it goes in and out. And so I'm gonna be talking about that today. He’s got extremely swollen ankles. You know, when they said, 'Oh, look, bloody hands,' that was golf hand, you can see it... I want Trump to understand as much as he wants to get his agenda through, he has to delegate." First things first, we can't believe some of this actually makes sense. Secondly, we can't wait to hear what Donald thinks about Jones' cankle talk. Something tells us that light bulb is going burn exceedingly bright for a very hot minute or two.

Lord Goldemort delivered yet another truly dizzying word salad of poop thoughts from his faux-gilded Oval Office on Friday, bouncing around like a distracted puppy while congratulating himself for deploying National Guard troops to crack down on phantom runaway crime in Washington, DC. Sometimes you just need to read the transcripts to truly take in the bounty of stupid: "The restaurants are all full. Since we've been doing this, they are doing great. And many new restaurants will open because as you know, many restaurants closed. Many restaurants closed because the crime was so bad. This will be one of the safest places anywhere on earth. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent. And we'll straighten that one out probably next. That will be our next one after this, and it won't even be tough. And the people in Chicago, Mr. Vice President, are screaming for us to come.They are wearing red hats, just like this one. But they are wearing red hats. African American ladies, beautiful ladies are saying 'Please, President Trump, come to Chicago, please.' I did great with the black vote, as you know. And they want something to happen. So I think Chicago will be our next, and then we will help with New York, and we're gonna help with..." Oooookaaaay.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia finally released from federal custody in Tennessee
Kilmar Abrego Garcia was finally released from federal custody Friday, months after he was wrongfully deported to an El Salvador prison by Trump's ICE goons and falsely accused of being a gang member. US Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes in the Middle District of Tennessee ordered Abrego Garcia's release from a jail near Nashville, Tennessee, where he had been held since he was freed from El Salvador's notorious CECOT prison in June. Abrego Garcia is en route to his family in Maryland, Sean Hecker, one of his attorneys, said. Abrego Garcia was "unlawfully arrested and deported, and then imprisoned, all because of the government's vindictive attack on a man who had the courage to fight back against the Administration's continuing assault on the rule of law," Hecker said in a statement.
