John, Violence has just erupted again in the Congo (DRC) as Islamic rebels wielding machetes mass executed 52 predominantly Christian civilians in revenge killings. According to a government spokesman, "[T]hey first woke the residents, gathered them in one place, tied them up with ropes, and then began to massacre them with machetes and hoes."
