Last night, more than 14,000 people joined Governor Newsom’s livestream after he signed legislation to place Proposition 50, the Election Rigging Response Act, on the ballot.
Here’s a link to the livestream if you missed it.
So what does the Election Rigging Response Act do and how do we win?
It's a simple, temporary, voter-approved way to keep our maps fair in the face of partisan power grabs. Unlike Trump’s backroom deals approach, it puts the choice in California voters’ hands this November.
And the path to victory is the one we have walked before: conversations with voters. Neighbor to neighbor. Friend to friend. Text and phone call conversations.
That work starts now. We need your help reaching out to voters. Sign up to volunteer today.
Vote-by-mail ballots begin going out in early October -- that’s roughly six weeks from now. Every single minute that passes is critical for our ability to win.
This election will not be easy. Just this week, Trump said he is ready to take us on, and has already pledged $100M to oppose our initiative.
What they don’t know is we have a secret weapon: a people-driven campaign. More than 12,000 people have raised their hand to stand up and fight. Join them.
There’s a role for everyone in this fight. We’ll train you, provide ongoing support, and set you up with peer outreach, knocking on doors, texting, or calling -- whatever you are able to do.
After you sign up, you’ll be redirected to a virtual guide with resources to get started. An organizer will also reach out to help you along the way.
We’re on the frontlines, fighting for our democracy. We can win if you’re standing with us.
