In just eight months, the Trump administration has gutted nearly half a billion dollars from programs our children need—funds that support teacher training, address learning gaps, and provide resources for students in crisis.
This week, I stood with local education and childcare advocates, including Brian Lewis from ROC the Future, to call out the Trump administration’s deliberate attack on education, including programs like Head Start.
Here in Rochester, we understand that education is the best investment we can make in our future. As Vice Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, I’ll fight to protect Head Start, expand Universal Pre-K, restore the Child Tax Credit, and make sure education funding reaches the communities that need it most.
