Governor Northam announced that the Commonwealth of Virginia will begin Phase Three of the Forward Virginia reopening plan on Wednesday, July 1. Phase Three further relaxes some of the restrictions currently in force in Phase Two. Many of the numerical caps are removed, but many of the space-based rules remain to promote social distancing.
The Phase Three Guidelines include guidance to all sectors on best practices for physical distancing, enhanced cleaning and disinfection, and enhanced workplace safety. As with the Phase One and Two guidelines, they also include many industry-specific requirements and best practices.

Join us for the socially distanced version of the Chamber's Breakfast Connection on July 9 at 7:45 a.m.! Held virtually over Zoom, this event focuses on power networking through virtual breakout rooms and will provide attendees the chance to share a 60-second pitch with their fellow participants. Come to this Nonprofit Focused Breakfast to form connections to either deepen your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, or to explore relationships to help you get started. Register to attend and connect with community leaders to learn about their opportunities to be engaged locally. The National Summit on Equality of Opportunity: Next Steps
The Arlington Chamber of Commerce was pleased to partner with the U.S. Chamber & nearly 500 chambers and associations for the National Summit on Equality of Opportunity. On Thursday, June 25, we heard from over 20 panelists, covering topics from "Creating Systemic Opportunity: How the Business Community Can Lead" to "Building the Infrastructure for Racial Equity: Education, Health, Housing, and Criminal Justice." The full Chamber staff was able to participate in the summit.

We all face unprecedented uncertainty right now, with limited control over many factors influencing our business and personal lives. Psychologically, worry and anxiety flourish during uncertain times. In an attempt to resolve the tension of not knowing, our minds get stuck in a loop of repetitive thinking, often going down the rabbit hole of worsening “what if” scenarios. This process of filling up the gaps of uncertainty with potential negative outcomes, often called “catastrophizing,” leaves us feeling anxious, unmotivated, and pessimistic.
