Dear A.,

Israel is taking significant actions to improve the serious humanitarian challenges in Gaza, working with international partners to bring more food, aid, and water to the people of Gaza.

Despite the improving situation, the U.N.-affiliated Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) this morning released an analysis that ignored key facts, relied on Hamas misinformation, and altered the IPC's own standards to conclude that there is a 'famine' in Gaza City.

The determination relied on inaccurate and incomplete U.N. data on the amount of aid in Gaza, and ignored Israel's recent efforts to massively surge aid into the Strip.

Prime Minister Netanyahu

said : "The IPC report is an outright lie. Israel does not have a policy of starvation. Israel has a policy of preventing starvation."

When the IPC data didn't match the narrative it sought to push, the IPC ignored the data. And while the IPC report repeatedly calls for a ceasefire, it makes no mention of the hostages.

Former IDF spokesperson Jonathan Conricus discussed the false accusation and the IDF's ongoing operations in Gaza in an interview on Sky News:

Despite the ongoing smear campaign from international organizations and Hamas' continued attacks, Israel is relentlessly surging humanitarian aid into Gaza to help the civilian population.

Since mid-May, more than 10,000 humanitarian aid trucks have entered Gaza, and since Hamas' October 7 attack, approximately

2 million tons of humanitarian aid on 100,000 trucks have entered Gaza.

From August 1 through August 17, over 66,000 tons of aid on more than 3,300 trucks entered Gaza. The food entering Gaza since the start of August equates to 4,400 calories per person per day.

Just yesterday,

220 humanitarian aid trucks were brought into Gaza, while hundreds of trucks-worth of aid are waiting inside Gaza for collection and distribution by the U.N. and international organizations.

At the same time, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has now

distributed more than 132 million meals, including 1.7 million yesterday alone.

Hamas is solely responsible for the humanitarian situation in Gaza. The war could end tomorrow if Hamas releases the hostages, lays down its arms and relinquishes power.

Hamas is prolonging the suffering of Israelis and Palestinians. The United States and international community must increase the pressure on Hamas to release all the hostages and surrender.

New Treasury sanctions target Iran's oil exports

The Treasury Department yesterday took additional action to disrupt Iran's illegal oil exports, sanctioning a "network of companies, and nearly a dozen vessels involved in Iran’s shadow fleet."

This action "degrades Tehran’s ability to fund its advanced weapons programs, support terrorist groups, and threaten the safety of our troops and our allies," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent

said . "Treasury remains determined to hold accountable all those who seek to aid the Iranian regime and threaten global security."

The vast majority of Iran's illicit oil exports are to China, providing Iran with billions of dollars in revenue while giving China access to oil at discounted prices.

Continued maximum pressure on Iran is essential to limiting the resources available to the regime as it seeks to rebuild its nuclear and ballistic missile programs and rearm its terrorist proxies across the region.

“The declaration [of famine in Gaza City] was issued not only without evidence that would justify it under the IPC’s own criteria, but also in contradiction to more recent data that was publicly available before the report’s release yet was ignored.”

To help end this war, world leaders must take actions that increase the pressure on Hamas!
