Despite all our best efforts, Greg Abbott forced his illegal racist maps through the legislature. It’s a tough pill to swallow, I know. But I also want to tell you: we are so grateful to you and all our supporters who stood with us.

Every step of the way, Texas House Democrats fought back — on the floor; in the press; sacrificing by breaking quorum and leaving their families and the state; side by side with the people of Texas.

They knew it was an uphill battle. But they showed up anyway, because they believe in democracy and protecting your right to vote. Now it’s time for us to show them that we believe in them.

Even when the odds were stacked against our House members, they told the truth. They exposed the MAGA map for what it is. They successfully turned the country’s attention towards Greg and Donald’s tactics and plan to steal Congress — because while it may have started in Texas, it sure isn’t going to stop here. They made it clear that Democrats are not backing down from this fight.

And neither is the Texas Democratic Party. We aren’t done — this fight is just beginning.

Now, we protect our Democratic incumbents. Now, we come after vulnerable Republican-held seats in purple districts. Now, we get ready for a busy election season.

Now, we flip the damn House.
