Prepare for a season full of sustainable outdoor adventure by completing a hunter or trapper education and safety course

These hands-on interactive courses help prepare you with the information and skills to get started hunting or trapping and are a great first step before buying your license. We have more than 30 safety courses scheduled across the state over the new few months to help more people get in the woods this fall!

And we don't stop there... MDIFW's Maine Outdoor Programs [ [link removed] ] offer a series of optional workshops year-round, helping you gain additional confidence and skills for your next pursuit. We'll connect you with resources such as mentors and tips for finding a place to hunt or trap near you.

Get started today by enrolling in a safety and education course. Hunter safety courses can also be completed online (s"tudents ages 10-15 may complete the online course, but to become fully certified are required to then attend an in-person skills and exam session)."
