Hi John, 

I'm Amanda Sherman Baity, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself as the new chief communications officer here at EMILYs List.

If there's one thing you should know about me, it's this: I love a tough fight. Over the last decade, I've worked on red-to-blue races, U.S. Senate battles, and congressional showdowns. I've seen what it takes to flip seats and shift power.  

I've also seen, time and again, that EMILYs List shows up to do the work. And they make a real impact in tough races.

EMILYs List jumps in early — backing bold, authentic women candidates and grinding out every phase of the race, shoulder to shoulder with campaigns. That's why, when I had the chance to join this team, I didn't hesitate for a second.

This is the best team in the game. We share the same values and the same mission: electing leaders who will deliver, because great policy starts with electing the right people. And EMILYs List knows that the right people to lead our party and our country into our next chapter are Democratic pro-choice women.

As we look to 2026, we're laser-focused on building a candidate bench that is ready to meet this moment. And let's be honest: Republican attacks are getting nastier, more expensive, and more relentless by the day. I've seen what happens when campaigns aren't ready for that onslaught. EMILYs List can make the difference.

We think ten steps ahead. We fight smart. And we win.

I'll be updating you more as the cycle heats up. But for now, just know this: I'm here to fight back against Republican hypocrisy — and to replace the MAGA extremists who have lied to their voters, failed their constituents, and betrayed their country, time and time again.
