Administration Appointments

TOPEKA* – Governor Laura Kelly announced on Friday 17 appointments to the following state boards, commissions, and authorities. 

*Kansas Guardianship Program Board of Directors*
*Purpose:* To oversee the Kansas Guardianship Program. 


* Paul Kallman, Scandia (reappointment)
* Stephen Atherton, Olpe (reappointment)
* David Heinemann, Topeka (reappointment)
* Sherrie Watkins, Kansas City (reappointment)
* Barbara Ballard, Lawrence (reappointment)
* Susan Concannon, Beloit  

*Advisory Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs*
*Purpose:* To consult with and advise the Secretary of Health and Environment on matters relating to children with special health care needs. 


* Colin Woods, Leawood  

*Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns
**Purpose:* To ensure all people with disabilities are entitled to be equal citizens and equal partners in Kansas society. 


* Sean Tyree, Lawrence  

*Kansas Real Estate Commission*
*Purpose:* To license and regulate real estate brokers. 


* Natalie Moyer, Wichita (reappointment)
* Kathy Minden, Paola  

*Kansas Human Rights Commission*
*Purpose:* To eliminate and prevent discrimination, segregation, and separation, and assure equal opportunities in the State of Kansas employment relations, all places of public accommodations, and housing. 


* Alicia Sanchez, Wichita (reappointment)  

*Kansas Public Employees’ Retirement System Board of Trustees*
*Purpose:* To oversee the investments of the retirement system funds. 


* James Zakoura, Overland Park (reappointment) 
* Joanne Yun, Prairie Village (reappointment)  

*Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission*
*Purpose:* To protect the integrity of the racing and gaming industry through the enforcement of Kansas laws. 


* Brandon Jones, Ottawa (reappointment)  

*Kansas Development Finance Authority*
*Purpose:* To promote economic development and the general welfare of the state of Kansas by improving accessibility to long-term capital financing by state agencies, political subdivisions, public and private organizations, and businesses.   


* Moniqueka Holloway, Wichita (reappointment) 
* Kim Brown, Topeka  

*University of Kansas Hospital Authority*
*Purpose:* To oversee the operations of the hospital at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
