![]() VA terminates union contracts, thousands of Pennsylvania workers affected Earlier this month, the Trump administration stripped thousands of unionized VA workers in Pennsylvania of labor protections, as part of its plan to terminate collective bargaining agreements with federal unions. John, make no mistake: unions built the middle class. Taking away long held VA workers’ rights is a direct attack on working people and will do nothing to improve veterans’ care. I proudly served this country in uniform, so I refuse to sit by while Trump and his administration target veterans and workers who care for us. I refuse to sit by while they put the benefits we earned on the chopping block.
Western Pennsylvanians have already seen how Trump’s attacks on the VA have hurt our veterans. We’ve seen reports that his hiring freeze affected life-saving VA clinical trials and medical research happening right here. Now, Trump’s union-busting the hard working men and women who serve my fellow veterans—putting the benefits we earned at risk once more. It’s a betrayal of my fellow veterans. We wrote a blank check when we stepped up to serve our country, and we earned the best VA possible.
