We're here because Donald Trump is struggling.

He is one of the most unpopular presidents in US history. He recognizes that because of his failed policies, he will lose the next election. He can't win playing by a traditional set of rules, so he plays by no rules.

I want to thank you for your support over the past week.

I am reminded of the great Walt Whitman poem O Me! Oh Life! (it's worth looking at). He talks about this notion that we are not bystanders in life, that we can shape the future. He talks about writing our own verse in this play that is life.

In that spirit, I want to thank the 15,000 people who have signed up to volunteer, the 75,000+ who joined a volunteer Zoom last night, and more than 250,000 people who have contributed more than $9 million in small-dollar donations since we launched this effort. Thank you all.

But we still have a long way to go, and let us not forget the stakes in this fight.
