Democrat,
With less than 75 days until Election Day, our gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill is continuing to outline her policy agenda to address the top concerns of residents across this state. This week, she announced her plans to bring down energy costs.
What’s her opponent Jack Ciattarelli’s energy plan? Same as all the rest of his plans: whatever President Trump wants. Jack fully supports Trump’s price hike law, which will raise New Jerseyans’ electric bills by $200.
As we get closer to New Jersey voters heading to the polls, the difference between the two candidates is only becoming more stark. Mikie Sherrill is fighting for families, while Jack’s all for Trump.
In this week’s Chairman’s Corner, read more about Trump’s attacks on voting, Mikie’s energy plan, Jack’s support for defunding Planned Parenthood, and more information on how to RSVP for our ongoing Coalition Roadshow.

Donald Trump is once again making false claims around voter fraud and taking concerning action to undermine our electoral system. He announced this week he is planning an executive order that would get rid of mail-in ballots and the use of voting machines. There is no evidence either of these methods of voting are ridden with fraud. We must remain vigilant and stand up to the authoritarian threat he poses to our democracy as he tries to cling to power.

Mikie Sherrill understands the strain rising utility costs put on New Jersey families. That’s why on Day One as governor she’s committed to addressing this problem by declaring a State of Emergency on Utility Costs.
What does this mean?
She will freeze utility costs for families as we rapidly expand new, cheaper, and cleaner power generation to lower costs. She will require more transparency and accountability from our utility companies. And she will instruct the Attorney General to take Trump and New Jersey’s grid operator, PJM, to court for their mismanagement. She will work to accelerate the development of cheaper and cleaner energy sources and connect new power generation to our grid immediately.

Ending the cap on the state and local tax deduction is a top priority for New Jersey voters. It was set to expire at the end of this year until Trump and his Republican allies in Congress such as Congressman Tom Kean Jr, Chris Smith, and Jeff Van Drew extended it in the federal budget passed earlier this summer.
Who else was a big fan of this law? You guessed it: Jack Ciattarelli.
Jack gave his full-throated support of the law saying, “Shame on any Republican across the country that doesn’t support this. The president supports it.”
Jack doesn’t have New Jersey taxpayers’ backs, he only has Trump’s.

Jack’s Not for Jersey Tour Stop #2
The NJDSC “Jack’s Not for Jersey” press tour continued this week in Trenton, focused on “100% MAGA” Jack Ciattarelli’s terrible record and commitment to putting Donald Trump before New Jersey families.
Outside the state house, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, OB/GYN Dr. Kristyn Brandi, and Deputy Mercer County Administrator Taraun Tice McKnight highlighted how Jack Ciattarelli has made clear, time and time again, that he’d defund Planned Parenthood as governor and enact an abortion ban in New Jersey.
