Under the cover of night, Ron DeSantis weaponized the Department of Transportation to remove a rainbow crosswalk that was painted in honor of the 49 angels lost at Pulse Nightclub in 2016. 

This political stunt is cruel and shameful, like the many relentless attacks by Florida Republicans on the LGBTQ+ community in recent years. Our freedom dies in darkness, and we must stand up and shed light on these attacks. 

Leaders in Orlando and Orange County, including our Ruth’s List-endorsed women, are on the ground with Equality Florida, rallying support and refusing to be erased. 

We need to show them we have their back, John. Sign our petition now to stand with Orlando and speak out against the destruction of this beautiful memorial crosswalk.
