In 2009 Federal Reserve Chairman Timothy Geithner worked with Congress to pass new laws to prevent another major financial crisis from happening in the future.
One of the best of these regulations was the “stress test.” This measures the ability of banks and other financials to deal with major economic issues.
From 2010 to 2020 we’ve not heard much about these stress tests because the banking system was fine in this period.
