In a little over a month, we're hosting the fifth GGWash Fall Mixer [[link removed]] . In the midst of challenging times, the Fall Mixer remains a constant: a welcoming night out with hundreds of friends and neighbors, new and old, who call this region home and care deeply about its future.

I hope you'll join us [[link removed]] from 5:00-9:00pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Metrobar in Northeast DC. Until 8:00pm, it's kid-friendly -- no need for a babysitter. We'll have crafts for the littlest transit fans, who can ride along for free.

Tickets start at just $30 , which includes one drink. The majority of each ticket sale directly supports GGWash -- especially our work that isn't directly or fully funded by grants. Most visibly, that's the blog: it's such an important platform for elevating housing, transportation, and land use issues, and reader support is the reason we've been publishing content for 17 years and counting.

Our team works hard to push for policy changes that make the Washington region a place where housing is abundant and affordable, and where it's safe and easy to walk, bike, roll, or take transit to get around. The Fall Mixer is a night that reminds us that we've got so many friends in this work, and that means so much.
