Dear John,
This Women’s Equality Day ([link removed]) , join the movement of hope and joy – because progress isn’t just possible, it’s happening. From Oregon, where we contributed to efforts to ban child marriage without exception, to Washington, DC, USA, where we supported a comprehensive legal ban against female genital mutilation, and nationwide having helped to advance stronger protections against online abuse and exploitation – change is here, and you’re part of it. Thank you.
Showing your support for women and girls doesn’t need to be a huge commitment. Every action, even small ones, has an impact and can contribute to change on a global scale. Here are four ways you can prepare for this upcoming Women’s Equality Day:
1. Make your voice heard. Download a sample letter ([link removed]) with key language about the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to send to your representatives.
2. Spread awareness about gender equality by downloading our graphic ([link removed]) and sharing it on social media with the hashtag #WomensEqualityDay. You can also tag us on Instagram at @equalitynoworg.
3. Shop our partner Olivela ([link removed]) and support Equality Now and all women and girls through your purchases.
4. Donate $5 or $10 ([link removed]) in honour of a special woman or girl in your life who inspires your commitment to gender equality.
Together, we can create a better world for ourselves and future generations. Our methods work, and with our community behind us, anything is possible. Even in these challenging times, we hope you, like us, feel inspired by what we’ve achieved together and hopeful for our future. Thank you for your support.
In solidarity,
Equality Now
