Trump has made it clear from the start that he wants to rig the system and cement a permanent Republican majority, no matter what the voters have to say. Now we are seeing that plan come together.

Last night, Texas approved an unprecedented mid-decade redistricting that eliminates five Democratic congressional seats through extreme gerrymandering.

Republicans are not even trying to pretend that it’s about making “fair maps” anymore. They are openly telling us that they want to win the midterms and preserve their power. Trump is openly saying that he wants to add 100 more Republican seats until “politics is over.”

In other words, he wants a one-party dictatorship where voters have no way to change who is in power.

The question now is: Are we going to let the GOP get away with it?

Ilhan Omar believes that Democrats need to fight fire with fire. We need to do everything and anything we can to keep our elections competitive and block the Republicans from creating an unfair system where other parties can no longer compete.

If you feel the same, we need you to be part of our movement, James. We need all hands on deck until, putting pressure on Trump, but also on Democrats to stay in this fight and never back down to the authoritarians.
