As I begin my term as National NOW president, I’m honored to step into this role at such a pivotal moment for women’s rights and equality. NOW’s unique combination of grassroots power and national influence has never been more essential.
These days, just reading the news can be painful and every headline reminds us how much is at stake. From coordinated attacks on reproductive rights to policies that threaten hard-won protections for women, the need for strong, unapologetic feminist leadership has never been clearer. And that’s exactly what NOW brings to the fight.
I believe in NOW because I’ve seen it work. I’ve seen members rally in the streets, speak truth to power, and refuse to let injustice stand. I’ve watched our grassroots activism create ripples that turn into waves—waves that change laws, shift culture, and open doors that once were shut.
