My sweet little Daniel always looked forward to the summer, John.
He loved the feeling of warmth against his skin. He’d jump out of the swimming pool, run onto the hot pavement and lie down with his eyes closed – enjoying the sensation and the moment. When everyone else would be complaining about the heat, there would be Daniel, eyes closed, with his tummy pressed against the hot ground.
Summer, like Daniel, was just so innocent. But I’ll never have another summer with my sweet little boy again.
It’s too late to save Daniel, but it’s not too late to save other parents from the horror of losing a child to gun violence. That’s why we need to raise $70,000 before our fiscal year ends tomorrow – to make sure we have the resources we need to prevent the next tragedy before it happens. If we don’t, it could put more children’s lives at risk.
So please, can I count on you to donate as much as you can right now to help us reach our final goal of the fiscal year and protect more children from gun violence?
I’d give anything to be spending another summer with Daniel, watching him fish on the dock or play in the backyard. Instead, with your support, I’ll be working each day to expand our gun violence prevention programs that I know save lives.
Doing everything I can to protect children like Daniel from gun violence is how I carry on the legacy my sweet little boy left behind. Thank you for making a gift today so we can continue to do this lifesaving work.
