The Trump administration is utterly shameless.
After forcing out more than 7,000 staff at the Social Security Administration, Trump’s Social Security commissioner Frank Bisignano―a man who told staff that he had to ‘Google Social Security’[1] when Trump offered him the job―is telling brazen lies about the agency he leads.
Bisignano is just like the man who hired him: A liar. This administration lies about Social Security, they lie about cutting Medicaid, and they lie about the Epstein list. This is one more brick.

SSA recently sent out a press release touting improved customer service. Anyone who has recently been to a Social Security field office, or tried calling the 1-800 number, can tell you that every word in that release is a lie. Bisignano knows it, too. That’s why he pulled down data from SSA’s website tracking wait times.
The administration is replacing trained Social Security experts with a broken AI chatbot, claiming this is about efficiency. It’s another lie. This is about undermining Social Security and putting up barriers between us and our earned benefits.
This brazen, Orwellian campaign of lies only works if no one pushes back against it. That’s why the work we’re doing is so important. We’re reaching seniors where they are, telling them the TRUTH about Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
