My Trump-endorsed opponent, Andy Biggs, likes to claim that he can do my job better than I can.
So let me set the record straight:
As a state legislator, Andy Biggs tried to block Medicaid expansion in Arizona.
I voted for it, and it was the proudest vote I ever cast in the legislature. We delivered healthcare to nearly 300,000 more Arizonans and showed what’s possible when we put people above politics.
Then, as a lawmaker in D.C., he voted for significant cuts to Medicaid.
Hundreds of thousands of Arizonans are now going to lose their health insurance, families will face financial turmoil, and rural hospitals will close.
Now, Andy Biggs is cheering on Donald Trump’s attack on voting rights, heaping praise on his extreme agenda, and promising to make Arizona the “Florida of the West.”
One thing’s for sure: Andy Biggs is not fighting for everyday Arizonans. He’s fighting for the approval of Trump and billionaire donors. If he becomes governor, he’ll sell out our state to stay in Trump’s good graces. We can’t afford to let that happen.
